Non contact type measurement is infrared type i.e., measurement from a distance. It is very useful when the applications are of hazardous nature where it cannot be touched i.e., if the object to be measured is at a very high temperature or at a distance. Best for industrial temperature measurement during the process so as to maintain the temperature from a distance.
